Joyful Engagement Session College Station, Texas I don’t think I could be more obsessed with this session! I had a blast walking around this beautiful field in College Station with Kat and Stu getting to know them better. They have such a fun, unique, story and I just realized a few days ago that my […]
I’m headed to College Station today for several engagement sessions including this sweet couple, so what better time than to share their sweet spring proposal! Vanessa and Taylor are both very dear friends to Justin and I, so I was beyond excited when Taylor reached out to me about proposing to Vanessa! Vanessa and Taylor both love games, including escape rooms, so Taylor mirrored his proposal after an escape room by creating a series of mini puzzles for Vanessa to figure out.
They day of the proposal, I met Taylor and Vanessa’s mom for lunch, but Vanessa is so smart, she was already almost finished with the puzzles so we quickly headed to the proposal site! The final puzzle involved Vanessa figuring out the coordinates of the location where she would meet Taylor, by listening to morse code! The coordinates led her to the Antique Rose Emporium where Taylor got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!
I can’t wait to celebrate these two early next year at the White Sparrow in Quinlan, Texas! For now, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from this special moment in their lives!
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Dallas, Texas Y’all, this session was a dream to photograph!! It’s always an honor and a high compliment when you get to capture a family through many seasons and the Henley family is one of the best! I first met Kendall a few years ago in Aggieland when I photographed her […]
Chelsie and Trevor are such a fun, easy-going couple! They met at a family holiday party and immediately hit it off. The sky was so dreary throughout the day of their session we almost thought about cancelling. Just as the evening approached, the sun popped out and gave us beautiful, glowy light! Holland Lake Park is one of my favorite parks in Weatherford. I love the grand trees all over the park and it’s just an all around pleasant place to be.
Trevor proposed December of last year at a place called Enchanted. It was pouring rain as Trevor got down on one knee with beautiful Christmas lights all around. Chelsie was shocked and excited, she of course said yes! They are tying the knot March of 2019 in Weatherford at the Springs. The Springs in Weatherford is currently building a new venue on their property called “The Manor” and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together for Chelsie and Trevor’s wedding day! Congratulations to Chelsie and Trevor, I am so excited to be a part of your special day!!
Abby and Jake met the summer before their freshman year at Texas A&M University at a luncheon. They were both planning to be in the same major so Abby went up and introduced herself to Jake and they briefly chatted. Fast forward to their first week at A&M and they were at another orientation together and they met for a second time. Jake had just cut off all of his hair for the corps of cadets so Abby didn’t recognize him! Luckily Jake was forgiving 😉 and they spent the rest of the day talking. The rest is history!
These two are some of the most dedicated Aggies I know! Their first date was at their very first midnight yell as students. Since then they’ve been to every midnight yell and Jake proposed to Abby on Kyle Field! It was the last midnight yell that they would be on the field for, so he got all of their closest friends passes and snuck Abby’s family in without Abby seeing. After the cannon went off and the lights went out, Jake got down on one knee and Abby of course said yes!
Abby and Jake are tying the knot January of 2019 in Fort Worth and I am honored they chose me to capture their special day! Congratulations to Abby and Jake!!
I always love trying new locations for engagement sessions, so when Barbara and Daniel suggested the bed and breakfast where they got engaged I was pumped! If you like enchanting environments, cute pups and a fun couple that’s absolutely adorable together than this session is for you! Kobu, their sweet pup, was so photogenic and kept me laughing throughout the shoot.
Barbara and Daniel were first introduced by Barbara’s mother! She was the owner and sushi chef of a local Japanese restaurant (Kamei Sushi and Grill) that Daniel was a regular at. Barbara also worked at the sushi grill, so after they met, Daniel began planning his visits around Barbara’s schedule so he could visit with her!
Daniel surprised Barbara with an early birthday celebration by taking her to Blisswood Ranch. After a weekend of stargazing, feeding baby bison, minature donkeys and minature horses, Daniel took Barbara to the enchanted lake on horseback to a surprise picnic. He presented an “Adventure Book” to Barbara mimicking her all time favorite movie “Up” before asking her to marry him. Barbara of course said yes! These two are tying the knot this July at Peach Creek Ranch with an intimate wedding dinner party to follow their ceremony. Congratulations to Barbara and Daniel, I am beyond excited to be a part of your special day!
It’s not every day that you have someone with your name getting married on your anniversary date ask you to be a part of capturing their wedding! What a coincidence 😉 I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Tara and Matt’s wedding day this coming May at the Inn at Quarry Ridge in Bryan! Tara and Matt met two years ago at Texas A&M University (whoop!) when they were both getting an engineering degree. They love spending time outdoors, so this field in College Station was the perfect location for their engagement session!
When Matt realized Tara was the girl he wanted to marry, he planned a fun proposal at Tara’s grandparent’s house under the pretense that they were having “dinner with Tara’s family.” When they arrived at their house, Matt had an elaborate setup in the backyard with all their friends and family waiting in the house. Such a sweet and thoughtful proposal! Tara of course said yes, and the rest is history!
A winter engagement session in College Station, Texas! I love when couples bring their dogs to engagement sessions and Ruger was no exception. This pup was hilarious! He posed perfectly for the first photo and immediately looked at the camera when I called his name. Once I exclaimed “we got it!” Ruger broke free and proceeded to run around the field behind us for the remainder of Kaitlin and Jacob’s engagement session making us all laugh at his antics.
Kaitlin and Jacob have been together over 8 years – they met in the 6th grade, but it wasn’t until high school that they went on their first date. It may have been a casual first date since they were so young, but their love has lasted all these years! Jacob popped the question on top of Enchanted Rock which took Kaitlin completely by surprise. They are both very laid back people, so she thought it would be obvious when Jacob proposed and was taken by surprise when he asked her after they had spent the day hiking! They are getting married this fall at Peach Creek Ranch. Peach Creek is one of my favorite wedding venues in College Station and I am beyond excited to capture their day! Congratulations to Kaitlin and Jacob on your engagement!
Holland Lake Park One Year Anniversary Session Weatherford, Texas This session is very near and dear to my heart. After my husband and I got to know Jordan and Colby during their engagement session last fall, we became instant friends! They are now some of our closet friends and they’ve come to visit us several […]
Texas A&M Engagement Session College Station, Texas Madi and Zach are two of the sweetest engineers I’ve ever met and I can’t wait for their wedding next May at Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne! They both enjoy Chuy’s, Gilmore Girls, card games, and two-stepping together. Anyone that knows me knows these are at the […]
