Morgan and Shaughn had a lovely late fall wedding at the Springs in Weatherford. Even though it had been very cold the weeks surrounding their wedding, thanks to the crazy, sporadic, Texas weather, they were blessed with a beautiful, sunny day! The leaves were turning at the Springs leading to beautiful orange and red tones as a backdrop for their ceremony.
Morgan was a gorgeous bride donning a stunning Maggie Sottero dress. She and Shaughn had the sweetest first look outdoors by the fountain as they took in a few peaceful moments together. Their ceremony began moments before the sun set as they exchanged their heartfelt vows. They ended the night in the adjacent reception hall visiting with friends and family and dancing the night away. Many thanks to you Morgan and Shaughn for trusting me to capture your amazing day! I wish you both all the best in your marriage!!
Courtney and Matt had a beautiful fall wedding at the stunning Dove Ridge Vineyard in Weatherford! I was touched by how loved these two are, during the speeches their family and friends went on and there was barely a dry eye in the room! Their day began in the lovely getting ready suite at Dove Ridge with Courtney surrounded by seven of her closest friends. When I arrived, everyone was so relaxed, visiting with one another as they put the finishing touches on their hair and makeup. After everyone was ready, Courtney and Matt shared the sweetest moment behind a pillar so they couldn’t see one another just moments before the ceremony!
I loved Matt’s reaction to his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. Throughout the day, Matt was so tender and goofy with Courtney, it’s obvious how much he loves her! After their ceremony in front of the grand fireplace, everyone headed on to the reception area to enjoy stations of many different food types. Their reception was quite the party with everyone dancing the night away on the dance floor! Courtney and Matt, I wish you both all the best in your marriage. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of capturing this special season of life!
Julie and Andrew had a beautiful morning wedding last month at the Ashton Gardens in DFW. I arrived at the hotel the girls were getting ready at just as the sun was rising! From the hotel, we headed on to Ashton Gardens where Julie had all of her lovely bridesmaids help put on her dress before meeting Andrew for their first look.
Their ceremony took place inside the gorgeous chapel on the property surrounded by trees with floor to ceiling windows. It was absolutely stunning! My favorite part of their ceremony was towards the end, Julie and Andrew went out to their families to hug them as a symbol of their families becoming one. Such a great way to honor two histories! After the ceremony all the guests proceeded to the reception hall to celebrate the newlyweds with lunch.
Many congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Song! It was a joy being a part of capturing your wonderful day and I wish you all the best in your marriage!
I am so excited to share Kat and Stu’s lovely wedding on the blog today! Throughout their day everyone was full of smiles and laughs, just ready to have a good time! Katherine and Stuart first met in Dunn Hall (a dorm on the Texas A&M University campus) when Stuart was studying abroad. He had come a long way from the UK and was determined to not get in a relationship in Texas. As fate would have it, Katherine and Stuart grew closer and closer and ended up dating knowing it would be difficult living almost 5,000 miles and an ocean apart.
Their wedding day was a long-awaited, joyful celebration of these two becoming one after working through many obstacles. They had family members from all over the world come to celebrate and explore Texas for the first time! Kat and Stuart chose Olde Dobbin Station as their venue because they loved that it was an old train station and Stuart thought Texas trains were fascinating since they are so big and slow – very different from the trains where he’s from!
I can’t think of a couple more perfectly suited for one another. Katherine and Stuart are both such fun, goofy, laid back, all around loving people, I am so happy that miles and oceans couldn’t keep them apart! Kat and Stu, your love for one another is so apparent! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this special season of life and I wish you both all the best in your marriage. I hope you both enjoy living in the same house let alone the same country! 😉
Tiffany and Colton both grew up in small towns only 20 minutes from one another and had lots of friends in common but didn’t officially meet until college. Tiffany had even been to Colton’s house for a birthday party without actually knowing him! During their freshman year at Texas State, Colton and Tiffany had the same english teacher just at different times of the day and week. One week Tiffany missed her normal time with this teacher so she attended a make up class that Colton happened to be in as well. That’s the first time Colton laid eyes on Tiffany, but he did’t have the courage to approach her. For weeks he referred to her as the “cute girl from his English class” that he didn’t know, but wanted to know.
They officially met at a tailgate through mutual friends and instantly became close friends. When they both knew that they cared for each other as more than friends, they wet on a date to Texas Roadhouse where Colton asked Tiffany to be his girlfriend on a deck of cards. He wrote something he loved about her on each card, followed by the last one which said “will you be my girlfriend?” Without hesitation, she said yes! When Colton knew Tiffany was the girl he wanted to marry they took a trip to Colorado, where they took a sleigh ride to the top of a mountain peak. The views were so beautiful that Colton insisted the driver stop to take photos of them as a keepsake at which point Colton got down on one knee and popped the questions. Tiffany of course said yes!!
Tiffany and Colton both had a beautiful wedding day last month at The Farmhouse Events in Montgomery. There was rain off and on throughout the day and the weather was quite dreary, but they didn’t let it dampen their spirits one bit. They were champs throughout the photos even when it started raining during the bridesmaid portraits!! Tiffany and Colton are both such friendly, accommodating, sweet people to be around and it was a joy being a part of their day!
Tiffany and Colton, I wish you both all the best in your marriage together! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of preserving such precious memories and many congratulations to you both!

Peach Creek Ranch College Station, Texas Remember Barbara and Daniel from their enchanting engagement session at Blisswood Bed and Breakfast with their adorable pup, Kobu? I’m excited to say they are now Mr. and Mrs. and their wedding was every bit as lovely as their engagement session! I’m completely obsessed with this wedding – Amy with […]
Eleanor and Patrick had the most beautiful wedding day at the Victory Arts Center in Fort Worth. Victory Arts was formerly a girl’s boarding school that opened in 1910 and also served as a convent for the Sisters. In the 1980’s the upkeep of the convent became too difficult and costly for the few remaining elderly sisters so in the early 1990’s they sought to obtain a demolition permit for the building. Thankfully the Historic Preservation Council took over and the building was purchased and renovated. In 2004, the building reopened it’s doors as Victory Arts Center and now offers dramatic loft spaces for lease and serves as a wedding and event venue! I love when wedding venues have such a rich and interesting history, so unique and special!
Eleanor is also a photographer, so I was honored when she reached out to me about capturing her wedding day! It’s a high compliment when a fellow photographer trusts you to capture a pivotal moment in their life! Her business, Honey and Wildfire Photography is based out of College Station and she takes the most beautiful photos. My personal favorites are her graduation portraits, definitely check her out if you’re searching for a photographer in Aggieland!
Along with the rich history of their wedding venue, Eleanor and Patrick’s wedding day was full of beautiful details! I loved the unique colors of the purple bridesmaid dresses paired with beautiful florals by Vivienne and Vine Floral Design. Check out the rest of their amazing vendors at the bottom of this post!
Eleanor and Patrick, many congratulations on your marriage and thank you for trusting me to capture your lovely wedding day. I wish you both many years of joy and happiness in your lives together!
Madi and Zach had the sweetest ceremony at Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne. Rustic Grace is the perfect summertime venue with their quaint, little, white chapel and big, red, rustic barn for the reception! Rustic Grace recently added a silos expanding the reception area along with a beautiful new upstairs getting ready room. I loved all the natural light the additions provided.
When I first arrived at Rustic Grace, Madi and her bridesmaids were just relaxing, chatting with one another about the day. Madi and Zach both wanted their day to be Christ-centered and it definitely showed by everyone’s attitudes. Everyone was focused on the covenant Madi and Zach were about to make rather than fretting about the small details.
Before the ceremony, Madi and Zach opted to pray together rather than have a first look. I love that they wanted to dedicate their day and their marriage to the Lord, such a good reminder and inspiration! Madi and Zach both love playing games which was incorporated into their day through their favors which were custom decks of cards! They even had handmade yard games for their guests to play during the reception. Zach is quite the craftsman – he built the yard games along with a beautiful dance floor with their names on it. The dance floor was used when he proposed to Madi and I love that they brought it to their wedding to share their first and last dance of their wedding day on!
Madi and Zach, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day! I wish you both many years of happiness in your marriage together!
Tara and Matt had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Inn at Quarry Ridge just as the sun was setting. They are both such fun, laid-back people and their day was the perfect reflection of that. My favorite moment of the day was Matt’s reaction to Tara walking down the aisle – the sweetest!
Detail-wise, I loved all the maroon they incorporated (go Aggies!) from the beautiful Nordstrom bridesmaids dresses to the touches of maroon florals. Tara and Matt’s reception was one of the most fun I’ve been to! They had quite the party as all their family and friends danced the night away celebrating the newlyweds. During the Aggie War hymn, a few non-Aggies were throwing up their school symbols in protest which made for some good laughs. It was also Tara’s grandfather’s birthday so they surprised him by singing happy birthday mid-way through! Tara and Matt, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful wedding day! I wish you both all the best in your marriage together!
Last weekend, Madi and Zach tied the knot at Rustic Grace Estate during one of the sweetest ceremonies I’ve had the honor of photographing! Madi has a heart of gold and Zach is such a thoughtful groom, they are the perfect pair! I was thrilled when Madi decided to have a bridal session at her venue in Van Alstyne. I love all the personal details Madi incorporated into her bridal outfit from wearing her mother’s wedding shoes to her grandmother’s brooch pinned to her bouquet. These details made it all the more special!
Bridal portraits are one of my favorite types of sessions to shoot! They are the perfect way for a bride to try out her wedding day look and as a bonus, they’re just plain fun! What other time does a girl get to dress up in a big white dress just for the heck of it and spin around for photos? I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I did taking them. I’m not sure I’ve squealed more than I did during this session – Madi is a gorgeous bride, so combine that with perfect light, wonderful weather, the cutest venue, and you have one happy photographer!
