Meredith and Richard Engaged

Dallas Arboretum Engagement
Dallas, Texas

We couldn’t have picked a better day for Meredith and Richard’s engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum! The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze blowing through the trees which made for a beautiful May evening in Texas. From the moment I met Meredith and Richard at their consultation, I knew we were going to get along well. They are such a warm and welcoming couple – they even took me out to dinner after their engagement session!

Meredith and Richard met at Texas A&M through Traditions Council. They became close friends, and shortly thereafter Richard took Meredith out on their first “official” date to Cafe Capri in College Station. After their dinner, they danced the night away under the Aggie Ring on the Texas A&M University campus. The first song that came on was “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. Little did Meredith, that would be the song Richard would play when he proposed years later.

A few years later, they were vacationing with family and friends at a ski resort in New Mexico and Richard invited Meredith to the balcony covered in rose petals with a fire going nearby. “The Way You Look Tonight” was playing and Richard asked Meredith to dance. As they danced he told her how much she meant to him before getting on one knee to propose. He could barely get the question out as Meredith exclaimed “yes!” It’s no surprise that song will play for their first dance at their wedding! Since Richard and Meredith connected through dancing, we had to get some photos of them dancing together during their engagement session!

I can’t wait for Meredith and Richard’s wedding in College Station this July – enjoy some of my favorites from their sweet engagement session!!
