Taylor and Sean Married

A Hotel Galvez Wedding
Galveston, Texas

This post has a lot more black and white images than I usually do, because I felt it went perfectly with the style of their wedding. (I do also have the images in color for anyone wondering, I’m just a sucker for black and white!)

Taylor and Sean’s wedding was such a classy day, full of history. Their wedding took place at the Hotel Galvez, in Galveston, Texas which was opened in 1911. Later in the day we took bride and groom portraits at the Ashton VIlla House Museum – one of the first brick structures in Texas and that building was even older than the Hotel Galvez. The Ashton Villa was constructed in 1859 and although it was built as a home, during the Civil War it was converted into a Hospital for soldiers. It was one of the very few homes to survive the infamous Galveston storm of 1900 which wiped out the island. Taylor and Sean are history lovers, so the day perfectly suited them. You may also remember them from their Downtown Bryan engagement session – the historical part of the BCS area.

On the day of their wedding, Taylor and Sean’s families were so kind and welcoming. Taylor and Sean were surrounded with so many people who loved and supported them! I’m so excited to be sharing their wedding on the blog today and I hope you enjoy looking through the images of their day as much as I enjoyed taking them!
