Now that Alyssa is officially “Mrs. Strunk” I can finally share her beautiful bridal portraits on the blog! I first heard about Chandor Gardens when we moved to Weatherford back in January of this year and ever since, I’ve wanted to do a session there. Alyssa and her family were so sweet to travel to Weatherford for her bridal portraits at the most beautiful gardens in the city! I hope you enjoy scrolling through a few of my favorites from Alyssa’s bridal session.
From the moment I met Paige at her consultation, I knew we were going to get along well! Instead of the usual hour consultation, we ended up chatting for hours sharing stories and discussing wedding plans. Paige is such a kind, fun-loving person, Reed is sure a lucky guy! Paige and Reed met at their high school freshman orientation when they were introduced by a mutual friend who knew they’d be perfect for one another – boy was she right!
We began their day at Brownstone Reserve in the beautiful, bridal getting ready suite before heading off to Saint Mary’s for Paige and Reed to tie the knot. Throughout the ceremony there were many tears of joy and laughter as everyone shared in the excitement. Paige and Reed are one of the most giddy couples I’ve had the joy of photographing! Throughout the day, they kept looking at each other with enthusiastic expressions – it’s hard not to smile around these two! From Saint Mary’s we headed back to Brownstone where Paige and Reed celebrated with their guests at a luncheon reception. They danced the afternoon away before exiting through bubbles!
Now that Paige and Reed are officially Mr. and Mrs. they’ve moved to Washington where they will both begin new jobs. Many congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hermes, I wish you all the best!
Be sure to check out their wonderful vendors at the bottom of this post.
Today I’m excited to share Brooke and Zach’s beautiful June wedding in Victoria, Texas! When I first arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn, Brooke’s bridesmaids were all so warm and welcoming. Everyone was relaxed and ready to have a good time! From the hotel, we headed to Lady of Victory Cathedral in Victoria where Brooke and Zach tied the knot. The high ceilings and huge organ in the back of the church were stunning! As Brooke walked down the long aisle linked to her dad’s arm, Zach beamed in admiration, watching his bride walk towards him.
After their portraits at the church, we headed on the reception site taking place in Cuero, Texas at the Venue on Church Street. One of my favorite moments from Brooke and Zach’s reception was watching their grandmother proudly smile at them during their first dance – such a sweet moment. It’s clear that Brooke and Zach are loved by many! There were hundreds of guests in attendance, many of whom traveled far just to see these two tie the knot. Be sure to check out all their vendors listed at the bottom of the post. Congratulations to Brooke and Zach, I wish you many years of happiness together!
Caitlin and Nathan had the perfect Texas wedding at Gruene Estate in New Braunfels! This was my first time staying in New Braunfels and I quickly fell in love with the beautiful town. Gruene Estate is a hidden gem just minutes from the center of town with the cutest white chapel. It reminded me of my own wedding when my husband and I were married in front of a little white chapel at 7F Lodge in College Station. Justin and I were celebrating our anniversary the day of Caitlin and Nathan’s wedding and it was the perfect way to reminisce!
When I first arrived at Gruene Estate, I was struck by how relaxed everyone was! The bridesmaids were just visiting with one another as they were finishing up their hair and makeup and the groomsmen were outside playing games. Everyone was so laid-back – you could tell they were really enjoying the day and I love that!! Definitely a reflection of Caitlin and Nathan’s calm, positive, attitudes,
You may remember Caitlin and Nathan from their sunny, fall engagement session, back in College Station. They are both so kind and fun-loving – they make the perfect pair! Their wedding day also happened to be Nathan’s birthday – what better way to celebrate your birthday than to get married!? They of course had a birthday cake lined with candles for everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” to Nathan at the reception. Be sure to check out their vendors at the bottom of this post. Congratulations to the Newlyweds Caitlin and Nathan!
I am beyond excited to be sharing Tori and Christian’s beautiful Farmhouse wedding on the blog this lovely, June morning! The Farmhouse is a new venue in Montgomery, Texas and it’s simplistic, elegance, makes it such a fun place to photograph at. Tori and Christian’s day was full of simple, but stunning details from the most beautiful florals by Bramble and Bee to the cutest cakes by Cuppie Cakes. Lindsay with Lean on Me Events helped to coordinate everything and she did a fabulous job of keeping everything organized throughout the day with a huge smile on her face – Houston area brides, I highly recommend her! Be sure to check out all of Tori and Christian’s awesome vendors at the bottom of this post.
Now that Emily is officially “Mrs. Hounsel,” I can finally share her beautiful bridal portraits on the blog! This was my first time at the Springs in Magnolia – and I have to say it is a gorgeous venue! The whole property is surrounded by some of the tallest trees, I have ever seen which add to the romantic feel of the space. There are so many beautiful places for portraits at the Springs!
After a foggy engagement session and an overcast bridal session, Emily and Andrew were blessed with a sunshine-filled wedding day and I can’t wait to share more from their day on the blog very soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from Emily’s bridal session!
Paige and Reed tied the knot this past Saturday and I am thrilled to be sharing Paige’s beautiful bridal portraits on the blog today. Paige was one of the most happy, giddy brides I have ever been around and her joy was contagious! On her wedding day, her happiness brought smiles to everyone around her. Paige is one of the most selfless and thoughtful people I have ever met! Even on her wedding day, she gave me a one of the most thoughtful thank you gifts – a bag full of items to help me relax during this busy wedding season! Sweetest. Thing. Ever!
I can’t wait to share Paige and Reed’s beautiful, joy-filled wedding day on the blog very soon. In the meantime, enjoy some beautiful portraits from Paige’s bridal session!
When a couple chooses “Hooked on a Feeling” as their first dance song, you know it’s going to be a fun wedding! Josh is a big fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, so the Blue Suede song was the perfect choice for Alyssa and Josh’s first dance as “Mr. and Mrs.” Alyssa and Josh are such an easy-going couple; their lighthearted approach to their day set the tone for a relaxing wedding!
Alyssa and Josh were married at a restaurant converted into a wedding venue in Addison, Texas. They were surrounded by so many family and friends who were very excited to celebrate their love! Josh and his mom had several sweet moments throughout the day, especially as they practiced their mother-son dance together before the ceremony.
Alyssa is the oldest of three girls and I was struck by the way her two younger sisters loved on her throughout the day. They are all so sweet to one another, during the speeches, Alyssa’s dad (George) even commented on their special bond. George’s speech was one of the best father speeches I have ever heard at a wedding! He began his speech discussing the people that had a significant influence in molding Alyssa into the woman she is today and concluded by expressing his excitement for gaining Josh as a son. He even paired his speech with thoughtful photos to go along with the stories. George is a videographer, so at the end of his speech he shared a compilation of videos from Alyssa’s childhood played to the song “forever young.” There were definitely a few tears shed!
Congratulations to Alyssa and Josh on their union! I wish you the best for your future together!
The sky was filled with clouds looming overhead with expectations of rain for Cayla and Trey’s outdoor ceremony, but they didn’t let that spoil their joy one bit! We all kept hoping the rain would hold out and sure enough it did! Cayla and Trey had a beautiful May wedding at Hidden Creek Ranch in Heath, Texas – just outside of Dallas. It’s obvious that Cayla has an eye for details – each of their centerpieces at the reception was a unique arrangement of items.
Throughout the day, Cayla and Trey were surrounded by family and friends who were ever so willing to help with anything they needed! They have a wonderful community of family and friends and I’m thankful to be a part of it. You may remember Cayla and Trey from their engagement session earlier this year in Fort Worth. Cayla and Trey first met at camp back in 2010, but they grew to be even closer friends when their siblings started dating! Who would’ve thought this would be the second McCollum – Torno wedding for their families!?
I hope you enjoy checking out a few of my favorites from their lovely day. Congratulations to Cayla and Trey!
Happy Friday and Cinco de Mayo! Chelsea and Daniel tied the knot this past month at St. Mary’s in College Station then danced the night away at their reception at Wind Dancer Retreat. Wind Dancer is a newer venue in College Station, and it is absolutely beautiful!
You may remember Chelsea and Daniel from their Texas A&M University engagement session. They are both so thoughtful and sweet – I had a blast celebrating with them and their loved ones! It was obvious throughout the day how much fun everyone was having – especially at their reception! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as I am sure you can tell by the reception photos at the end of this post. I hope you enjoy looking at their photos as much as I did taking them! An extra special thank you to Chelsea and Daniel for trusting me to capture your special day. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Adams!
