I am so excited to share Nicole and Glen’s lovely, April wedding on the blog today! It was a cold, blustery day, but you wouldn’t know it by the smiles on everyone’s faces. The Springs in Weatherford has a beautiful, outdoor ceremony location. While I have photographed at the Springs Event centers before in other locations across Texas, this was my first time in Weatherford after moving here and I love it!
Nicole and Glen met at Texas Tech when they were living in the same apartment complex. One day, Nicole caught Glen’s eye and even though she tried to avoid him, he pursued her and asked her out. Little did they know over 5 years later they would be Mr. and Mrs! Together, they both love to travel and have been to several countries together including Belize for their honeymoon. I hope you enjoy scrolling through the photos of their day as much as I did capturing them. Nicole and Glen, it was a joy being a part of your lovely wedding day and I wish you both joy and happiness in your marriage together!
This lovely bride has been married for one month! Now that she’s officially a Mrs. I’m so excited to share her beautiful bridal session on the blog! Nicole, her sister, and her mom came out to Weatherford from north Dallas to have her bridal portraits taken at the Springs Events in Weatherford. Nicole and Glen both fell in love with the small town charm that Weatherford holds and decided to get married here. I couldn’t agree with them more – after living here just over a year, I love this city more every day! I can’t wait to share Nicole’s wedding photos very soon – be on the lookout for Nicole and Glen’s fun wedding day later this week. In the meantime, here’s a few of Nicole and her bridal beauty!
Melissa and Chris had a beautiful winter wedding at Broken Arrow Ranch last month in College Station. As Texas winter typically goes; the day began warm and rainy, but by the evening, it was almost freezing! Luckily Melissa and her bridesmaids were prepared with beautiful shawls for their outdoor portraits. Melissa and Chris’ day began at Broken Arrow Ranch in their rustic, bridesmaid’s getting ready room. This was my first time at Broken Arrow and it’s the perfect blend of classic and southern. I especially loved the beautiful chandeliers hanging from the black ceiling in the reception area of this new College Station venue!
After the sweetest father-daughter first look, we headed to St. Mary’s for Chris and Melissa to tie the knot! Everyone was so joyful throughout the day celebrating Melissa and Chris. Melissa made for a gorgeous bride in her beautiful gown and cathedral-length veil! Chris was beaming with joy and excitement as his lovely bride walked down the aisle – there was barely a dry eye in the chapel! After their heartfelt ceremony, we took a few photos at St. Mary’s before heading back to Broken Arrow for more portraits on their expansive property just as the sun went down. Everyone had a wonderful time at the reception toasting the new Mr. and Mrs. and dancing the night away. Melissa and Chris, it was a joy being a part of your amazing day! I wish you both a long, joyful, life together! View their vendor team at the bottom of this post.
Rustic Grace Estate Van Alstyne, Texas Taylor and Cash were married this past December at the Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne! Despite the downpour of rain that begin during the ceremony and lasted through the end of the night, Taylor and Cash were troopers and didn’t let it dampen their spirits one bit! My […]
Rheegan and Zachary had a beautiful October ceremony under the oak trees at Moore Ranch in Millican, Texas! Moore Ranch is a 2,000 acre, fourth generation working farm and ranch just outside of College Station. I love photographing out there – there’s so many great spots around the property for portraits, but my favorite is by far the oak trees! I also photographed Rheegan and Zachary’s engagement session out there and my personal favorite, Rheegan’s bridals, in the cotton fields at sunset. (a-m-a-z-i-n-g!) We had the perfect light and it was the most beautiful location for a southern bride!
I love how many personal details Rheegan and Zachary incorporated into their wedding! It made their day all the more special. Rheegan’s gorgeous wedding dress was hand-made by her grandmother, the cotton used for decorations was picked from Zach’s family’s property and Rheegan’s dad made all the food for their meal – it was delicious!
Congratulations to the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Mengers! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of preserving your precious memories!
Now that Rheegan is officially Mrs. Mengers I am so excited to share her bridal portraits on the blog! This is one of my favorite sessions of the year! Moore Ranch located just outside of College Station is a beautiful property so combine that with Rheegan’s gorgeous gown made by her grandmother and the beautiful cotton fields on the ranch, how can you top that!? Bridal portraits are always one of my favorites – they’re so fun and the perfect way for brides to try out their wedding day look! I can’t wait to share Rheegan and Zachary’s wedding day on the blog very soon! For now, here’s a few favorites from her bridal session…
Karinne and Justin had a gorgeous day out at Rough Hollow Yacht Club in Lakeway, Texas! This venue was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful just outside of Austin overlooking the lake. Karinne and Justin are such a fun, giddy, couple – I had a blast taking their portraits! Not to mention, Justin is a total goofball, so I had to include of few of him hamming it up for the camera during his groom portraits.
During their ceremony the officiant had Karinne and Justin each share three things they loved about each other which was so sweet! After they were officially “Mr. and Mrs.” I was very touched by the love they have for their families. Instead of rushing down the aisle, Justin stopped to hug Karinne’s family before hugging his parents. Such a special moment!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Robles!!
I can’t say enough good things about Leah and Nathan! From the moment I met these two, they have both been very kind and encouraging to me and many others. They met in Florida, while attending college there at a Bible study that was Nathan teaching. With Leah being a Texas gal and Nathan being from Indiana, they dated long distance for a while, but it’s clear these two are perfect for one another!
Leah and Nathan had a late-summer wedding, during what would normally be one of the hottest times of the year in Texas. The day before their wedding, we had a “cool-front” come through and it was one of the prettiest days of the summer! We couldn’t have asked for better wedding for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony!
This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Orchard Event Venue and Retreat in Azle, Texas and I am obsessed! I LOVE outdoor ceremonies, so combine that with beautiful, huge, overarching tress, horses, and the cutest getting ready cottages and you’ve got the perfect southern venue! Enjoy a few favorites from Leah and Nathan’s sweet, southern wedding.
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky for Emily and Andrew’s beautiful day at the Springs in Magnolia. After Emily and Andrew had a foggy engagement session and a rainy bridal session, I was very thankful for some sunshine on their wedding day! Their ceremony took place at the Prince of Peach Catholic Church in Houston which had a beautiful floor to ceiling stained glass window that filtered the light perfectly.
Throughout the day, some of my favorite moments were those between Emily and her father. She’s the oldest in her family and the love she and her dad have for one another is so special and apparent – even through the photos of the two of them. You could see in his eyes how proud and happy he was for his beautiful daughter.
Emily and Andrew have been together for over half of their lives – they met in Middle School Reading class and almost immediately became best friends. Their wedding was a huge celebration as they united themselves in marriage. Many guests in attendance knew the couple from different stages of their relationship which made the celebration all the more special.
When I’m with Emily and Andrew, their happiness is contagious and it’s hard not to smile with the two of them. Emily’s laughter when she’s around Andrew could light up a room! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hounsel, I wish you a joyful union and many years of happiness together!

With all the rain we’ve had lately (and the rain that’s to come thanks to Hurricane Harvey), I’m taken back to Meredith and Richard’s wedding day! When I arrived at Brownstone, it was bright and sunny outdoors and the bridal suite was flooded with natural light. What a deception because just moments after I made a comment of what a beautiful day it was, the sky grew dark and all of a sudden there was a huge downpour of windy rain that didn’t let up until the reception! Throughout the major weather shift, Meredith remained calm and excited – she didn’t let it ruin the joy of her wedding day one bit. Meredith and Richard had planned for their ceremony to take place at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station, so we moved all the portraits to take place indoors as well. Thankfully, the rain let up a tad during their reception so we were able to sneak Meredith and Richard outside for a few more portraits of the two of them later that evening.
During their reception, Meredith and Richard shared a romantic first dance as Mr. and Mrs. to the song “The Way You Look Tonight.” You may remember from their engagement session, but this was also the song they danced to on their first date and the song that Richard played during their proposal! From surprise speeches to fun dancing, their reception was a blast! You know you’ve got great friends when their willing to get out on the dance floor to perform a singing duet of customized Disney tunes just for you! Meredith and Richard are truly loved and that was very apparent on their day by the energy and excitement of their friends. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Cochrane and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day!
