Mission San Francisco De La Espada

Caitlin and Evan originally planned to get married in Fort Worth, but due to Covid restrictions, they ended up postponing and getting married in San Antonio at one of the mission churches. I grew up inside of Houston, but my family LOVED to visit San Antonio so we traveled there often for weekends to visit the sites. San Antonio will always hold a dear place in my heart! Asher and Justin traveled with me when we visited for Caitlin and Evan’s wedding. Even though it rained most of our visit, Justin and I took Asher to Sea World for the first time and he loved it despite the pouring rain!
Caitlin and Evan first met at Texas A&M in a lecture hall, but didn’t connect until 4 years later when each of their best friends became roommates. They immediately hit it off and Evan took Caitlin to a small family-run Mexican restaurant in Bryan for their first date. Later, during a weekend trip to Canada they went to a romantic little island in the Ottawa River with beautiful gardens. Towards the end, Evan turned to Caitlin, dropped to one knee, and proposed! Caitlin of course said “yes!”
It was raining off and on most of the morning of their wedding, but after their ceremony inside the cute chapel at Mission Espada, the sun came out just in time for bride and groom portraits! Following the ceremony, their friends and family celebrated at the Old San Franscisco Steak House which was lined with stunning floor to ceiling windows overlooking a beautiful outdoor garden.
Caitlin and Evan, many congratulations to you both! Thank you for choosing me to capture this special season and I wish you both many years of happiness in your marriage!!
