Caitlin and Nathan Engaged

A Sweet, Fall Engagement Session
College Station, Texas

From the moment Nathan saw Caitlin when he was a freshman in high school, he knew she was the girl he wanted to be with. Now, years later, they are engaged to be married and I’m so excited to be a part of photographing their day next May in New Braunfels, Texas! Nathan proposed to Caitlin this past June at Enchanted Rock while they were hiking. They had originally planned to go with friends and family, but everyone mysteriously “backed out” the night before. Since Caitlin had taken the day off work, the two of them decided to go hiking anyway! When they got to the top, she looked down and saw their friends and family smiling and waving at them. When she turned back to Nathan, he was on one knee and she of course said yes!

Caitlin and Nathan are two of the kindest people I’ve met – they both have huge hearts and are so giving and loving, especially to one another! Throughout their session I just kept telling them how cute they were – when couple’s are in love, they make my job SO easy!

In the days leading up to their session I was feeling overwhelmed by everything going on in my personal life. A close friend had passed away from brain cancer, Justin received a job offer in another city for January, and two of our friends were getting married that weekend. A bittersweet week to say the least. When I began photographing Caitlin and Nathan, my nerves from the week were immediately calmed and I was reminded why I love photography. I am so thankful I have the opportunity to capture such special seasons of life for people and to be able to create memories from fleeting moments that they can treasure for a lifetime.
