Olde Dobbin Station

Katrina and Ryan had a beautiful wedding day at Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery. I told Katrina if I could have a “wedding do-over” I would want to do everything the same way she did. Katrina and Ryan’s subtle wedding colors of blushes, greens, and neutrals, paired perfectly with the elegant tones of the venue. Olde Dobbin Station is one of my favorite venues in the Houston area! I love the industrial chic charm and those ivy green walls are stunning! To top it off there are so many amazing places around the property for portraits, you can’t go wrong with this venue.
I’m always a fan of venues with unique histories and Olde Dobbin has just that. Olde Dobbin Station was built in the early 1900’s and was restored to it’s original look and feel when it was converted into a wedding venue! The buildings were originally used by oil companies as a “pumping station” and later became a famous place of fellowship for those in the community due to its Artesian Water Well. According to many of the locals, it later became the community “swimming hole” before being converted into a wedding venue!
You may remember Katrina and Ryan from their engagement shoot from early this year in Fort Worth! Katrina and Ryan went to high school together, but didn’t hit it off until Katrina’s senior year. Ryan invited her to play tennis (one of Katrina’s favorite sports) so she of course said yes! Turns out Ryan wasn’t much of a tennis player so they ended up laughing and chatting most of the evening which sealed the deal!
Katrina and Ryan, thank you for allowing me to capture this exciting season of life for you both! I wish you many years of joy and happiness in your marriage!!
