Texas A&M Engagement Session College Station, Texas Madi and Zach are two of the sweetest engineers I’ve ever met and I can’t wait for their wedding next May at Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne! They both enjoy Chuy’s, Gilmore Girls, card games, and two-stepping together. Anyone that knows me knows these are at the […]
A couple of weeks ago, Justin and I drove down to Katy for Taylor and Cash’s engagement session! Together they have four dogs and they wanted to include all of them in their session so we decided to take their engagement portraits around their neighborhood! I love their passion for taking in animals and giving them a home. Each one of their pups has a unique personality which made for a fun session! You can bet I was dancing around excitedly when we got a photo with all four of the dogs looking at the camera – win!
Taylor and Cash met the summer after 8th grade so they will have known each other over 10 years when they tie the knot! They’re big Mav’s fans, so Cash proposed to Taylor during a kiss cam at one of the games. Taylor and Cash are getting married this December at the Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne and I am so excited to be a part of their special day!
When I first met Katherine at her consultation – I knew we were going to get along well! We both have a quirky sense of humor and we ended up chatting for hours! Katherine and Colten met back in 2010 and they both love spending time outdoors (especially fishing) so Trinity Park was the perfect location for their engagement session!
Katherine said that neither of them were very romantic, but Colten proposed in quite a romantic way. Katherine was tagging along on one of Colten’s family vacations to Destin, Florida (one of Katherine’s favorite vacation spots). When they arrived, Colten led Katherine to believe that they were going on a dinner date with just the two of them. On the way to dinner, Colten asked Katherine to go on a sailboat ride – “just for fun.” At this point, most girls would suspect something, but Katherine is so laid back she didn’t even realize Colten was about to propose! Once they were out on the water the captain offered to take a photo of the two of them at which point Colten got down on one knee and asked Katherine to marry him. She of course said yes and they are tying the knot next month at the Piazza in Fort Worth, Texas!
Katherine and Colten are so giddy with one another, they made my job easy. I love all the fun, candid moments I was able to capture between the two of them. I hope you enjoy scrolling through a few of my favorites from Katherine and Colten’s engagement session!
We couldn’t have picked a better day for Meredith and Richard’s engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum! The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze blowing through the trees which made for a beautiful May evening in Texas. From the moment I met Meredith and Richard at their consultation, I knew we were going to get along well. They are such a warm and welcoming couple – they even took me out to dinner after their engagement session!
Meredith and Richard met at Texas A&M through Traditions Council. They became close friends, and shortly thereafter Richard took Meredith out on their first “official” date to Cafe Capri in College Station. After their dinner, they danced the night away under the Aggie Ring on the Texas A&M University campus. The first song that came on was “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. Little did Meredith, that would be the song Richard would play when he proposed years later.
The beginning of last week was gloomy and rainy in Texas, so I was very thankful when the sun came out for Chris and Melissa’s engagement session. I am LOVING the spring sunshine and green everywhere! Spring is one of my favorite times of year and I try to spend every spare moment outdoors breathing in the fresh air.
When I met Melissa and Chris last week in College Station, I knew right from the beginning we were going to get along well! They are both very warm and welcoming – their easygoing personalities and love for each other made their session so fun! We spent the evening just chatting and laughing the time away, I had a blast getting to know them both!
Cayla and I were roommates the year before Justin and I were married so I was beyond excited when she asked me to be her wedding photographer when she got engaged! Cayla and Trey met in high school at camp so they were already dating when I met them both back in 2013! I love their servant hearts and their love for the Lord.
Cayla is a huge fan of the movie Tangled, so for their proposal, Trey asked Cayla to marry him at a lantern festival! As the thousands of people at the festival released their lanterns, Trey dropped to one knee and popped the question! So romantic, I’ve always wanted to go to one of the lantern festivals! Cayla and Trey are getting married in May at Hidden Creek outside of Dallas and I can’t wait for their special day! Congratulations to Cayla and Trey on their engagement!!
Last weekend Paige and Reed traveled to Weatherford for their engagement session and we had the PERFECT weather! The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze which was a stark contrast compared to the last couple of weeks. I’m so excited to be sharing their session on the blog today – nothing like a little sun to add the perfect touch in photos!
Paige and Reed are high school sweethearts introduced by a mutual friend at their freshman orientation who knew they’d be perfect for one another! What are the chances almost 7 years later that they are tying the knot!? When I first met Paige at her consultation, I knew right off the bat we’d get along well. She has such a sweet heart, and hearing her tell the story of how she and Reed met was hilarious. They are getting married this June in College Station and I can’t wait to photography their special day! I hope you enjoy looking these images as much as I did taking them!
Alyssa and I met several years ago in a graphic design class at Texas A&M so I was thrilled when she reached out to me about her engagement! Now that I live in Weatherford, Texas, it was so fun to travel back to College Station for their session! College Station is definitely my home away from home. I’m so glad Alyssa and Josh braved the February cold for their session on the Texas A&M University campus! Although it was a dreary, cold morning, we still had a lot of fun and I loved watching Josh make Alyssa smile.
Reagan and Jon were some of my very first clients when I was starting out as a professional so I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to photograph them again for a styled shoot Kristina Ross Photography and I put on together! Kristina and I have been wanting to create a style guide to give couple’s inspiration for engagement sessions so I’ll be sharing a few of those sessions over the next couple of weeks on the blog. We collaborated with Naturally Flawless Hair & Makeup Design for the girls to get their hair and makeup done. Vanessa Chavez did the hair and Leanna Duran did their makeup. Leanna is especially amazing with makeup and I highly recommend her to anyone searching for a makeup artist in the College Station area! She has such a sweet personality and is an awesome makeup artist!
When Brooke first reached out to me about photographing her wedding, she had heard about me from another photographer. What we didn’t know at the time is that she was also friends with my best friend from college and roommate of three years – what a small world! From the moment I ment them, Brooke and Zachary were both very welcoming! They make a great duo and are such a laid-back pair they could make anyone feel at ease. These two first met when they were in middle school through Brooke’s cousin who also happened to be Zach’s best friend. When Brooke and Zachary eventually started dating, her family was just as excited as they were since they had grown to love him!
